The CENTRAL BANK OF BRAZIL, in accordance with Article 9 of Law No. 4,595 of December 31, 1964, makes public that the NATIONAL MONETARY COUNCIL, in an extraordinary session held on June 2, 2005, based on Article 4, items VIII and XXII, of the aforementioned law, and considering the provisions of Article 8, item I, and Article 23, paragraph 2, of Law No. 6,385 of December 7, 1976,
RESOLVES:
Article 1. The administration of the Public-Private Partnership Guarantee Fund (FGP), provided for in Article 16 of Law No. 11,079 of December 30, 2004, may only be exercised by a financial institution, directly or indirectly controlled by the Federal Government, authorized by the Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM) to manage securities portfolios.
Article 2. The financial institution administering the FGP must observe the norms issued by the Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM) regarding the management of securities portfolios, being subject to penalties for non-compliance.
Article 3. The Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM) is authorized to adopt complementary measures for the fulfillment of the provisions of this resolution.
Article 4. This resolution enters into force on the date of its publication.
