Rule · BCB · 13 Nov 2008 · Resolução CMN 3636
Resolution CMN No. 3636 extends the deadlines for borrowers to adhere to debt renegotiation processes, pay off debts, request individualization of operations, or liquidate installments under Resolutions Nos. 3,572, 3,573, 3,574, 3,575, 3,577, 3,578, 3,579, and 3,580, all set for December 12, 2008. It also amends Resolution No. 3,575 to allow financial institutions to renegotiate specific rural investment credit operations up to a limit of 20% of the balance, increasing this limit to 60% for borrowers in municipalities and states that declared a state of emergency or public calamity due to drought in 2004 and 2005. The resolution explicitly states that these extended deadlines do not prolong the maturity dates of the respective contracts. Additionally, it revokes Resolution No. 3,612 of September 30, 2008.
