The Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka directs the Colombo Stock Exchange and Central Depository Systems to implement a step-up fee structure for share transactions effective 15th March 2017, replacing the previous flat fee model. The directive increases the threshold for the two-band fee structure from Rs. 50 million to Rs. 100 million, applying specific percentage rates for transactions at or below this limit versus those exceeding it. Licensed Stock Brokers and Stock Dealers are required to ensure compliance with these revised fees when paying CSE and CDS charges for all equity security transactions.
