Rule · Riksbank · 25 Oct 2016
The Riksbank mandates specific financial institutions, including banks, credit market companies, securities depositories, insurance companies, pension funds, and asset managers, to report holdings of securities. The regulations establish distinct reporting obligations for monetary financial institutions, systemically important institutions reporting group holdings, custodians reporting client holdings, and securities depositories, with varying frequencies ranging from monthly to quarterly. Entities must report data on interest-bearing securities, equities, and fund shares, specifying valuation methods, issuer details, and position types, while aggregating personal data for natural persons. The rules take effect on November 1, 2016, with initial reporting deadlines extended during the transition period.
