SBS Resolution N° 02116-2026: Amend the Regulation of Complementary Public Service Channels of Financial System Companies and Electronic Money Issuing Companies
Article 10 of the Regulation of Complementary Public Service Channels of Financial System Companies and Electronic Money Issuing Companies is modified to establish specific cash limits for Basic Operations Establishments (EOB). Daily cash limits per person are set at 6 Tax Units (UIT) for credit-related operations and 2 UIT for others, while daily cash on hand is capped at 10 UIT, extendable to 30 UIT subject to enhanced control measures and reporting. Companies must submit risk reports to the Superintendency regarding design changes or limit modifications, implement specific controls for cash holdings exceeding 10 UIT, and maintain updated business plans for implemented EOBs. The resolution enters into force the day following its publication in the official newspaper El Peruano.
