SDAD Circular Letter No. 02: Scheduled banks will remain closed for the 13th national parliamentary election and referendum, 2026
Scheduled banks in Bangladesh are required to remain closed on Monday, 11 February 2026, and Tuesday, 12 February 2026, to observe a two-day holiday for the 13th national parliamentary election and referendum. This closure is mandated under the Government Notification No. 05.00.0000.000.175.08.0003.26-16 dated 25 January 2026 and is issued pursuant to Section 45 of the Companies Act, 1991.
