Securities and Exchange Board of India (Investor Protection and Education Fund) (Amendment) Regulations, 2025
The Securities and Exchange Board of India issued the 2025 Amendment Regulations to modify the Investor Protection and Education Fund framework by inserting a new clause regarding monies transferred under delisting regulations. These amendments specifically update Regulation 4 to include funds transferred pursuant to Regulation 38B of the Delisting of Equity Shares Regulations, 2021, and adjust cross-references in Regulation 5 accordingly. The regulations were published in the Official Gazette on September 2, 2025, and came into force on that same date.
