Securities and Exchange Board of India (Payment of Fees and Mode of Payment) (Amendment) Regulations, 2021

Stock brokers, merchant bankers, debenture trustees, registrars, bankers to an issue, credit rating agencies, and depositories must pay specified fees via direct credit through the SEBI payment gateway. Stock brokers acting as clearing members pay annual fees separately per category. All other covered entities must pay fees one month before the block’s expiry. Credit rating agencies pay recurring registration fees every three years. Depositories must forward participant fees to the Board using the same online method. These amendments replace provisions in the 1992 Stock Brokers, 1992 Merchant Bankers, 1993 Debenture Trustees, 1993 Registrars, 1994 Bankers to an Issue, and 2018 Depositories Regulations.
