Rule · OJK · 31 Aug 2015 · 24/SEOJK.05/2015
Insurance and reinsurance companies may value debt securities using amortized cost, applying this method to all such holdings. If this valuation allows solvency ratios to meet regulatory requirements, the risk-based minimum capital adjustment is waived; otherwise, the adjusted capital is calculated at a minimum of 50% of the standard calculation, scaled up to 120% as solvency improves. These provisions apply to companies affected by global financial conditions causing unrealized market value declines and are effective from August 31, 2015, until the circular is revoked.
