SFD Circular Letter No. 03: Allocation of CSR Budget for Health Sector for Combating Situation Arisen from Corona Virus in the Country

The Sustainable Finance Department of Bangladesh Bank mandates that scheduled banks allocate 60% of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) budget to the health sector to combat the COVID-19 crisis, maintaining existing ratios of 30% for education and 10% for the climate risk fund. Banks are advised to support regular health programs, purchase essential medical equipment such as ventilators and oxygen concentrators, and provide protective gear to healthcare workers, ensuring coverage extends to the district level. Expenditure details must be reported using the format specified in SFD Circular Letter No. 06 dated June 10, 2015, and these instructions are effective immediately.
