Simplification of procedure and standardization of formats of documents for transmission of securities

RTAs, listed issuers, depositories and DPs must process transmission requests using the specified formats; for single-name holdings with nomination, the nominee submits a signed transmission form, death certificate and self-attested PAN, while without nomination legal heirs submit those plus a notarized affidavit (Annexure D), indemnity bond (Annexure E) and no-objection (Annexure F). RTAs must issue a Letter of Confirmation (Annexure G) within 30 days, with reminders at 45 and 90 days; claimants must submit the demat request within 120 days, failing which securities go to the Suspense Escrow Demat Account. This replaces four circulars with immediate effect.
