SMESPD Circular Letter No. 11: Regarding Redetermining of Loan Limit Under Credit Guarantee Scheme for Cottage, Micro and Small Enterprises (CMSE)
The circular redetermines the loan and investment limits under the Credit Guarantee Scheme for Cottage, Micro, and Small Enterprises (CMSE) from a minimum of 200,000 BDT and a maximum of 5,000,000 BDT to a minimum of 25,000 BDT and a maximum of 10,000,000 BDT. This adjustment applies to eligible entrepreneurs in the CMSE sector to facilitate access to credit under the special loan facility announced on July 27, 2020. The directive mandates immediate implementation by all scheduled banks and financial institutions operating in Bangladesh to accelerate the disbursement of the BDT 20,000 crore stimulus package.
