NOTIFICATION

S.R.O. 855 (I)/2016.- In exercise of the powers conferred by section 40B of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan Act, 1997 (XLII of 1997) read with clause (xii) of sub-section (1) of section 2 of the Stock Exchanges (Corporatisation, Demutualization and Integration) Act, 2012 (XV of 2012), the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (the Commission) is pleased to notify the following entities as financial institutions for the purposes of said clause (xii), namely:-

(a) a foreign investment company, a foreign investment management company or a foreign investment fund duly registered to provide financial services with the public authority of the concerned country in which it is incorporated, domiciled or licensed for carrying on its business, to act as a foreign anchor investor; and

(b) the State Bank of Pakistan, subject to terms and conditions provided in the Stock Exchanges (Corporatisation, Demutualization and Integration) Regulations, 2012.
