State Banking Board: Maintenance and operation of a postal substation
The North Dakota State Banking Board issued an order authorizing state-chartered banks to maintain and operate postal substations on their premises. This authorization permits these banks to perform services such as meter stamping and selling related insurance, subject to the same limitations and federal regulations applicable to national banks. The decision aligns state bank privileges with federal standards under 12 C.F.R. § 7.1010 and North Dakota Century Code Section 6-03-02.3.
