Study Note No. 45: Inflation - June 2026

The Central Reserve Bank of Peru reported that annual inflation reached 4.01% in June 2026, driven primarily by sharp price increases in fresh fish and eggs. Core inflation excluding food and energy accelerated to 4.46% annually, reflecting significant cost pressures in international air transport and domestic services. While food and energy prices moderated, the overall inflationary environment remains elevated above the target range.
