Technical Standards for the Calculation of the Annual Additional Benefit for Pensioners of the Public Pension System
The Committee of Standards of the Central Reserve Bank of El Salvador issued these standards to establish calculation procedures for the Annual Additional Benefit (B.A.A.) for pensioners of the Salvadoran Social Security Institute and the Salvadoran Pension Institute. The rules define specific benefit amounts based on minimum pension thresholds, such as 100% of the minimum pension for low earners and a weighted formula for higher earners, while also detailing reconstruction methods for survivor pensions and coordinated ISSS-INPEP cases. These standards repeal the previous 2000 instruction and entered into force on January 26, 2023.
