Women Microfinance Credit Guarantee Facility
The Federal Government has established the Women Inclusive Finance Support Fund (WIFSF) Trust, with SBP as Trustee, to operationalize the Women Microfinance Credit Guarantee Facility (WMCGF). Under this facility, banks' and DFIs' financing to NBMFCs and NBFCs for on-lending to women entrepreneurs is guaranteed up to 25% of the portfolio on a first-loss basis. Banks and DFIs are required to submit applications to SBP for guarantee limit allocation within 30 days of the circular's issuance.
