2017-02-01 | 4/2017The Bank of Albania’s Supervisory Council has approved Regulation No. 4/2017, which establishes consolidated supervision rules for banking and financial groups in Albania. The regulation requires superordinate institutions to calculate regulatory capital, assess large exposures, and monitor open foreign currency positions on a consolidated basis while applying qualitative risk assessments and quantitative financial consolidation methods. It further mandates the submission of detailed annual reports on group structure and capital adequacy within sixty days of each reporting period, effectively replacing the prior 2005 framework.
