CSSF Regulation No 21-03 of 30 September 2021 on the setting of the countercyclical buffer rate for the fourth quarter of 2021
The Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF) has maintained the countercyclical buffer rate at 0.50% for relevant exposures in Luxembourg for the fourth quarter of 2021. This decision follows the recommendation of the Systemic Risk Committee, which cited potential systemic risks from excessive credit growth to households despite the credit-to-GDP gap remaining below the activation threshold. The regulation enters into force upon publication in the Official Journal and aligns with European systemic risk board guidelines and ECB non-objection.
