Notice to Québec-chartered insurers concerning measures related to IFRS 17, capital standards and supervisory activities – COVID-19
The Autorité des marchés financiers has suspended or deferred key filing deadlines for Québec-chartered insurers to alleviate COVID-19-related operational pressures. The notice cancels the March 31, 2020 IFRS 17 progress report submission and extends deadlines for public consultations, Quantitative Impact Studies, automobile insurance endorsements, rate manuals, and Financial Condition Testing reports. Insurers must adhere to these revised dates when submitting documents through AMF E-Services, while unlisted deadlines remain unchanged and further regulatory adjustments will be communicated promptly.
