Margin and Capital Requirements for Covered Swap Entities

The OCC, Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, FDIC, FCA, and FHFA are reopening the comment period for their proposed rulemaking on margin and capital requirements for covered swap entities. The original notice of proposed rulemaking, published on November 7, 2019, sought to amend regulations requiring swap dealers to exchange margin for non-centrally cleared swaps, including provisions for legacy swaps and inter-affiliate transactions. The comment period is extended from December 9, 2019, to January 23, 2020, to allow interested parties additional time to analyze and submit comments on the proposed amendments.
