The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, the Federal Reserve Board, and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau finalized amendments to adjust the exemption threshold for appraisals on higher-priced mortgage loans. Based on the Consumer Price Index for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers, the threshold amount increases from $27,200 to $28,500, effective January 1, 2022. The agencies also updated official interpretations to reflect this new threshold and the methodology for future annual adjustments.
