Final Report on Draft ITS on Reporting of MREL Decisions (EBA-ITS-2017-06)

Resolution authorities must transmit information regarding minimum requirements for own funds and eligible liabilities (MREL) to the European Banking Authority using uniform templates and definitions. The standards require reporting on individual and consolidated bases, with simplified reporting allowed for institutions where MREL is waived or the recapitalisation amount is zero. Submission deadlines are set for 30 April each year for MREL applicable as of 1 April, with updates required without undue delay after decisions are taken. The regulation enters into force on the twentieth day following its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.
