Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/763 on supervisory reporting and public disclosure of MREL

Reporting entities must submit supervisory data on the minimum requirement for own funds and eligible liabilities (MREL) and total loss-absorbing capacity (TLAC) to competent and resolution authorities by specific quarterly, semi-annual, and annual remittance dates. The regulation mandates the use of standardized templates and data exchange formats, requiring identification via Legal Entity Identifiers and adherence to precise numerical precision rules. Institutions are also required to publicly disclose key metrics, composition of own funds, and creditor rankings on a quarterly or annual basis according to their status as resolution entities or material subsidiaries of global systemically important institutions.
