Branch Application Procedures Correction
The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation issued a correcting amendment to 12 CFR section 303.184 that removes paragraphs (a)(2)(iii) and (iv) and redesignates subsequent provisions to eliminate National Historic Preservation Act and National Environmental Policy Act compliance statements for branch establishment and relocation applications. This technical correction streamlines the application process by removing redundant statutory reporting requirements while preserving existing procedural frameworks. The corrected regulation takes effect on February 16, 2021.
