The Connecticut Department of Banking announces a notice of intent not to disapprove Farmington Bank's branch application in Bloomfield. The Commissioner entered into consent orders with Wal-Mart Stores East, LP, requiring a $3,000 civil penalty for late quarterly reports, and with Settlers Mortgage Company, LLC, requiring immediate payment of examination costs. Allied Home Mortgage Corporation was ordered to surrender its Connecticut mortgage lender license due to inability to perform borrower agreements. Additionally, 1st American Debt Solutions was ordered to cease and desist, pay a $100,000 civil penalty, and repay fees for unlicensed debt negotiation activities.
