The Connecticut Department of Banking revokes and refuses to renew the consumer collection agency license of Avalon Financial Services, LLC, and orders it to cease and desist for failing to maintain a required surety bond. The Department also issued temporary cease and desist orders and notices of intent to impose civil penalties against Fidelity Debt Solutions, LLC and CC Brown Law LLC for engaging in unlicensed debt negotiation activities in Connecticut. Additionally, the bulletin announces the opening of a new branch by Thomaston Savings Bank in Bristol, CT, and invites public comments on branch applications within ten days.
