The Connecticut Department of Banking approved United Bank's application to open a branch in Ellington, CT. The Department entered a Consent Order against Nicholas John Moniodes requiring him to cease violating securities laws and remit $32,000 to an affected investor. An amended enforcement action was issued against Meyers Associates, L.P. and Bruce Meyers for supervisory failures, unregistered securities offerings, and recordkeeping violations. Finally, the Department made a cease and desist order permanent against Poppin Kettle Franchising, Inc., Yofresh Yogurts Franchising, Inc., and Chris T. Gregoris, imposing $85,000 in fines for offering unregistered business opportunities and omitting material disclosures.
