The Connecticut Department of Banking imposed a $35,000 fine and mandated specific compliance improvements on Silver Oak Securities, Incorporated, including hiring a Series 24 principal and retaining an independent consultant within ninety days. The Department also fined Bridgewater Communications Group LLC, The Exchange, LLC, and Peter Adam Schur $7,500 jointly and severally for operating as unregistered investment advisers and broker-dealers, requiring them to consult legal counsel for five years before engaging in capital raising activities.
