The Central Bank of Myanmar issued Instruction No. 8/2021 on December 12, 2021, to adjust the foreign exchange spread applicable to Authorised Dealers and Money Changers. The directive reduces the previously mandated rate differential from 1.6 percent to exactly one percent, taking immediate effect in accordance with existing foreign exchange regulations.
