CA 21-16: Interagency Statement on Supervisory and Enforcement Practices Regarding the Mortgage Servicing Rules in Response to the Continuing COVID-19 Pandemic and CARES Act

2 files · 2 PDF pages

The temporary supervisory and enforcement flexibility regarding timing requirements under Regulation X mortgage servicing rules, previously granted in April 2020, no longer applies. Agencies will apply their respective supervisory and enforcement authorities to address noncompliance or violations of the rules occurring after the November 10, 2021 issuance date. While the flexibility is withdrawn, agencies will continue to consider the specific impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and operational adjustment times when determining any supervisory or enforcement actions.
