2009-08-31 | Circular 19/2009Added
The Bank of Mexico amends the definitions and pricing rules for repo operations to expand eligible debt securities and allow prices and premiums to be freely denominated in national currency, foreign exchange, or UDIS. Entities are required to maintain records of counterparty consent when the denomination of the price and premium differs from the underlying securities in transactions with non-entities. These modifications apply to credit institutions, brokerage houses, investment companies, specialized retirement fund societies, and the Rural Financial Institution, effective August 31, 2009.
