Circular BM No. 1224 - Commemorative Polymer Banknote - One Rial
The Central Bank of Oman introduces a commemorative polymer One Rial banknote as legal tender effective 11 January 2026. Banks must submit requests for these notes under category (O) series and are required to sort and separate them from other currency issues of the same denomination upon deposit. All banks are obligated to accept these commemorative notes at face value when presented by the public.
