Discloses the Structure of the Consolidated Economic-Financial Statement

In view of the provisions of Circular No. 2,984, of June 15, 2000, and based on item 4 of Circular No. 1,540, of October 6, 1989, we clarify that Document No. 5 of the Accounting Plan of the Institutions of the National Financial System - COSIF, Consolidated Economic-Financial Statement - CONEF, code 4050, must comply with the structure set forth in document Annex I to this Circular Letter.

2. In the preparation of the CONEF, the same criteria adopted for the operational consolidation of the financial statements governed by COSIF 1.21 must be observed, as applicable, considering further that:

I - the balances of active and passive operations held by non-financial companies must be recorded in the same accounting titles used by financial institutions, except in cases where there is a specific account for the registration of these operations;

II - the accounting titles of the COSIF must be aggregated in the manner provided in document Annex II to this Circular Letter.

3. This Circular Letter enters into force on the date of its publication.
