Circular Letter No. 3023 updates the National Financial System Accounting Plan (Cosif) by creating, excluding, and altering specific accounting subgroups, titles, and subtitles effective from the April 2002 base date. It establishes new account codes for swap operations, forward sales, futures market adjustments, trading securities, available-for-sale securities, held-to-maturity securities, and various hedge positions. The circular also modifies the attributes of certain impairment provision accounts and defines the specific functions and valuation methods for numerous derivative and securities-related accounts.
