Circular LISOL 1-1054: Minimum Capital of Financial Entities. Adjustments.

Effective June 1, 2024, the basic minimum capital requirement for banks is set at 5,000 million pesos and 2,500 million pesos for other entities (excluding Cooperative Credit Unions). Operating entities must apply transitional capital requirements of 1,500 million pesos for banks and 700 million pesos for other entities from June 1, 2024, to December 31, 2024, before adhering to the basic requirements starting January 1, 2025. Entities failing to meet these capital integration requirements must submit a compliance program to the Superintendence of Financial and Exchange Entities within 20 calendar days, with a maximum implementation period of six months.
