The Central Bank of Uzbekistan amends the Regulation on Requirements for Commercial Bank Capital Adequacy to raise the minimum statutory capital for commercial banks to 100.0 billion sum by January 1, 2019. The amendments introduce a capital conservation buffer equal to 3.0% of risk-weighted assets, requiring banks to maintain a minimum K1 ratio of 13.0% and a K2 ratio of 10.0% starting January 1, 2019. The regulation also updates the minimum capital adequacy requirements for Tier 1 and Common Equity Tier 1 capital to 8% and 7.5% respectively by the same date.
