The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo has approved a regulation requiring all licensed domestic banks to maintain capital sufficient for on- and off-balance sheet risk exposures. The framework establishes a minimum paid-in capital threshold of seven million euros and defines total regulatory capital as the combined Tier 1 and Tier 2 components. It further mandates precise risk-weighted asset calculations, a capital conservation buffer, and standardized treatment for credit, operational, and market risks to ensure ongoing financial stability.
