The Central Bank of the Republic Argentina establishes deposit reserve proportions for the basic quota effective July 1985, setting specific percentages for national public financial entities, private local entities with foreign capital and local branches of foreign entities (35.5%), cooperative banks and credit unions (45%), and other entities (40.5%), alongside corresponding patrimonial liability percentages. The circular mandates an 8.5% minimum cash rate on fixed-term, non-transferable deposits with interest rates not regulated by the Central Bank. Additionally, financial entities must maintain holdings in fixed-yield public securities with the Central Bank equal to at least 15% of the monthly average daily balances of deposits captured at non-regulated interest rates for July 1985.
