CIRCULAR NO. 001010

We communicate that the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Brazil, in a meeting held on March 19, 1986, in view of the provisions of Article 11, item VII, of Law No. 4,595 of December 31, 1964, the decision of the National Monetary Council of August 1, 1984, and the provisions of Resolution No. 981 of December 13, 1984, decided:

a) to give new wording to item 2 of Circular No. 963 of October 2, 1985, which shall now read as follows:

"2. Titles custodied in SELIC, as well as those registered in CETIP, are not included in the requirements of this Circular."

b) to approve the changes to the Regulations of the "System for Registration and Financial Settlement of Titles," as referred to in Chapter 4-15 of the Manual of Norms and Instructions (MNI), indicated in the attached sheets.
