The Collegiate Board of the Central Bank of Brazil, in a session held on April 17, 2019, based on art. 10, items II and IX, of Law No. 4,595, of December 31, 1964, and Resolution No. 3,981, of June 1, 2011,
R E S O L V E:
Art. 1 Financial institutions holding Reserve Bank Accounts or Settlement Accounts that carry out operations in the area of circulating medium are obliged to register and keep updated in the Information System on Entities of Interest of the Central Bank of Brazil (Unicad) the registration data, including the electronic address, of the statutory director responsible for the submission of information and for the operations in the area of circulating medium.
Art. 2 Circular No. 3,538, of June 1, 2011, shall enter into force with the following alterations:
“Art. 4 The retained banknote shall be delivered to the Central Bank of Brazil within the following timeframes, counted from the date on which the banknote was retained by the institution:

“Art. 11-B. Financial institutions holding Reserve Bank Accounts or Settlement Accounts are liable, in accordance with the law, for the veracity and confidentiality of the information provided by them resulting from the provisions of this Circular.” (NR)
Art. 3 The Department of Circulating Medium is authorized to publish the operational procedures necessary to comply with the provisions of this Circular.
Art. 4 This Circular enters into force on the date of its publication.
