Greetings,

Reference is made to your letter No. (1/9/10105) dated 30/7/2018 regarding the specified date for adopting the Smart Civil ID Card instead of the old personal ID card.

We refer to the esteemed Cabinet Decision No. (337) in its session held on 9/7/2018, which states: "Extension of the period granted for issuing the smart card until the end of September without imposing fines."

Accordingly, the Smart Civil ID Card is considered the approved card instead of the old personal ID card in all transactions as of 1/10/2018.
