The Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System is extending the comment period for its June 11, 2021 proposed rulemaking regarding Regulation J. The original proposal sought to amend Regulation J to govern funds transfers through the new FedNow Service and update provisions for the Fedwire Funds Service. The Board is moving the comment deadline from August 10, 2021, to September 9, 2021, to allow interested parties additional time to analyze the proposal and submit comments.
