Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2024/2795 amending Regulation (EU) No 575/2013 regarding the date of application of own funds requirements for market risk
The European Commission amends Regulation (EU) No 575/2013 to defer the application of the Fundamental Review of the Trading Book (FRTB) standards for the calculation of own funds requirements for market risk by one year. Institutions are required to continue applying the market risk provisions in force on 8 July 2024 until 1 January 2026, while maintaining reporting and disclosure obligations based on those pre-FRTB approaches. This Regulation enters into force the day after its publication and applies from 1 January 2025.
