Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2025/1496 amending Regulation (EU) No 575/2013 regarding the date of application of own funds requirements for market risk
The European Commission amends Regulation (EU) No 575/2013 to defer the application of the Fundamental Review of the Trading Book (FRTB) standards for the calculation of own funds requirements for market risk by one additional year, until 1 January 2027. Institutions are required to continue applying the market risk framework in force on 8 July 2024 and to maintain reporting and disclosure obligations based on pre-FRTB approaches during this deferral period. This Regulation enters into force on the day following its publication and applies from 1 January 2026.
