Completion of TIN on FinCEN Form 107 for Inclusion on FinCEN’s Posted MSB Registration List
A Money Services Business (MSB) that omitted its Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) on FinCEN Form 107 is not included on FinCEN’s posted MSB Registration List because the missing TIN prevented the renewal from being captured by the data retrieval system. To appear on the list, the MSB must file a corrected FinCEN Form 107 by checking Box 1c, reporting the TIN in Item 9, and completing Part I. The corrected form and a copy of the original form or acknowledgement letter must be mailed to the IRS Enterprise Computing Center in Detroit, and copies must be retained for five years.
