Counter Terrorism Designations; Issuance of Amended Iran-related Frequently Asked Question
The Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control issued an amended Iran-related Frequently Asked Question and updated the Specially Designated Nationals List. OFAC designated eight individuals and five entities, including members of the Sorena Hushmand Samaneh Company and the Comando Vermelho, for secondary sanctions risks under Executive Order 13224. The agency also expanded the sanctions designation for the Brazilian criminal organization Primeiro Comando da Capital to include terrorism-related authorities.
