The Canadian Securities Administrators adopted amendments to Regulation 21-101 and its associated forms to reduce regulatory burden by streamlining reporting requirements for marketplaces and information processors. The changes eliminate duplicative filings, extend filing periods for non-significant updates, and remove redundant systems-related data while introducing explicit cyber resilience controls and broadening security incident definitions. These amendments, which also update the related Policy Statement, are scheduled to come into force on September 14, 2020.
