The Canadian Securities Administrators are adopting amendments to Regulation 24-101 to align institutional trade matching and settlement processes with the transition to a T+1 settlement cycle effective May 27, 2024. The changes update references from T+2 to T+1, adjust the institutional trade matching deadline to 3:59 a.m. on T+1, and permanently repeal exception reporting requirements. Additionally, the amendments incorporate cyber resilience assessments for core systems and modify data reporting requirements for clearing agencies and matching service utilities.
