The Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF) issued Regulation No 24-05 to maintain the countercyclical buffer rate at 0.50% for relevant exposures in Luxembourg during the third quarter of 2024. This decision follows a recommendation from the Systemic Risk Committee, which cited economic uncertainty, high interest rates, and slowing credit dynamics as reasons to preserve institutional resilience despite a negative credit-to-GDP gap. The regulation entered into force upon its publication in the Official Journal of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
